Dear All;

I should find natural frequencies of a steel block on rubber by using ANSYS.
Block is linear and rubber material is hyperelastic and viscoelastic.
I tried to make harmonic analysis.But it gives an error that large deformation menu should be on since ı use hyperelastic material.This option is in solution options menu in static analysis but in harmonic analysis there is not such an option. Does it mean I can not make harmonic analysis for such a system?
I saw some similar work done by using other programs.
Thank You for your time.
Sincerely
Emre

Hello Emre,

I am afraid that I don't use ANSYS very often, so I cannot give specific advice, but it appears to me that you should not need to activate large deformations in order to calculate the eigenfrequencies.

Perhaps someone else has more specific advice, if not, I recommend that you check out the ANSYS manuals.
