Hi,

Just a quick modelling question. I am FEA modelling a grade of polyurethane but I am only interested in strains as high as about 10-15% tension. Since these strains are relatively small can a linear elastic material model be used accurately here as opposed to hyperelastic?

Thanks,

Chris

I would say that 10% to 15% strain is relatively large, and you should use a hyperelastic model (if you don't need accurate results) or a viscoplastic material model (if you need more accurate predictions).

Dear all,

please how could I plot XY data on Abaqus ? My problem is how to plot a stress-strain curve equivalent to that one I used to predict my hyperelatic material constants.

I was modelling a sheet of ABS material under uniaxial tension in x direction, then i ploted the stress S11 versus the strain LE11 but the experimental curve and the numerical are so different each other ?

Please can somebody helpe me? Itīs kind of urgent.

Hi Dear Jorgen
What's relation between S and A parameters in Hysteresis model in Abaqus??? Is it correct that increasing S parameter, H.B.U or energy dissipation increase. What's about A parameter?
Thank;s
