Sample Subroutine for updating the material properties

hello all,
I am a new user to this forum.I am grad student at NewMexico State Univ in mechanical engg.I am doing a project for my masters.I am trying to work on how to update the material properties around the matrix noundary in a viscoplastic material and also i have to include a dislocation density factor in the equation.So i need to know how to deal with the user dependent variables.
So i request you all to send me any sample subroutines which include updating the materials .

Hello Vinnu,

What material(s) are you working with? Is it a polymer or metal composite?

If you read the ABAQUS manual for how to write UMATs, I believe that there is one or more examples illustrating the use of state variables.
