Hello all,
I am currently working on a fracture model using UMAT to define the constitutive model. I have a three dimensional edge crack plate and I am printing J integral values for 10 contours.
I have 13 nodes along the thickness of the plate and for each contour and ABAQUS gives me 13 J integral values (I believe corresponding to node levels). So I am lost on how to interpret the results.
Now I do not know if these values are indeed three dimensional J integral values or are they two dimensional values.
Do the SSE, SPD variables in UMAT need to be updated for accurate J integral values? I dont it at present.
Thanks
