Uniaxial compression data of neoprene rubber at room temperature.
i need the model dimensions and neoprene properties to compare the experimental results with the software result

please send the details........

The experimental data was performed in uniaxial compression using ASTM-sized specimens. What else do you need to know, and why?

first i like to thank for the reply
i have taken solid cylinder of 80mm dia and 160mm length.
material neoprene
Neoprene Material Properties

shear modulus= 0.0272 MPa
poissons ratio= 0.499
density= 960 kg/m3
youngs modulus, E= 0.0815456 MPa
Bulk modulus, K= 13.59093333 MPa
Incompressibility parameter, d= 0.147156928

iam doing analysis with ansys software(uniaxial compression of soft bodies).
iam cnsidering the experimental results to compare with the software result with different material models like
Yeoh Model
Mooney-Rivlin Model (2 parameter)
Arruda-Boyce Model
Neo-Hookean

i have to know ASTM standard size for uniaxial compresssion test. neoprene propertis if possible

I don't recall the specimen size on top of my head, but the diameter was about 25 mm, and the height was about 12 mm.

hi and tanx
plz tell me about density of this material or other
because I research about vibration of viscoelastic material and need the densiti and modul of elsticity in liniar range:confused:

The density was about 1000 kg/m^3.

thanks for your help,

i was finding the material model for the new material. i gone through curve fitting technique and got the result.

Im working on the vibration of viscosolid
plz give me experimenta l data about shear and bulk and or elasticity module
or tell me abuot convert ur result to this result and give them to ANsys

With reference to the above .zip file, I am in need of experimental data or coefficients for Neoprene 55-60 Degrees Shore Hardness. I am using CalculiX and have post-processed the problem in question. I have used C10 = 212 KPa, C01 = 48 KPa but I believe this to be for a Neoprene with a Shore Hardness of around 40 Degrees.

Thank you in advance.
