Hi,

I am searching for models for hyperelastic materials to model the gel (SEBS) which im working on.
This gel has extreem elongation (strain 1900%) and the closest model i have found that could fit is ogden (up to 700%)
Are there other models which are more suitable for this type of material?

Thanks

What experimental data do you have? Can you post some exemplar stress-strain curves?

Jorgen,

Here is an uniaxial stress-strain test on the gel, 200mm/min and a 500N load cell.
thanks for the quick reply.

I think there should be multiple hyperelastic models that can reasonably well capture that behavior.
Ogden sounds like a good choice.

If you post the experimental stress-strain data file I can try to calibrate a material model to it.

Also, note that gels are typically viscoelastic. You might want to use a viscoelastic material model.
