Hello all,

I am about to install Intel Fortran to use with Abaqus, however, there seems to be different versions, I don't know if all/only some will work with Abaqus 6.9-1 and which add ons I need. Can I use any of the following and which works best with Abaqus 6.9-1?:

1) Intel® Math Kernel Library for Windows
2) Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows
3) Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows (includes Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Premier Partner Edition)
4) Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler Professional Edition for Windows

And I am assuming as I do not have Microsoft Visual Studio installed on my PC I need the install the Fortran package which includes visual studio?

Thanks in advanced.

a standart way to do this is to install visual studio 2005 or 2008 and after this the intel visual fortran profettionan(i am using vertsion 11.0.61)
i have tested this configuration with visual studio 2005 and 2008 and in both ocassions it worked fine..

Yes. You will need to install the visual studio 2005. However I agree with mech5243. I think the version 11.0.61 will do for you.

Hi,
I would suggest to use Intel Visual FORTRAN 10.1. This was the only version worked for me. You can find it in:

Hehe as i mentioned before and the 11 vertion works pretty fine. But in every version you have to configure some thinks in order to make it work when you are using windows. In linux there is no problem, you just have to install it.

If you have the Intel FORTRAN 11, you should be able to download older version from Intel website.
