I am using abaqus for running a model. my cpu is quad core 2.4GHz, my windows is 32-bit, I have 4 gigabytes ddr3 ram that due to using 32-bit windows, I can only use 3 gigabytes of it, I am using multiprocessing mode threads, because I can not use MPI due to using 32-bit windows. my analysis takes about 120 hours.
I want to use 64-bit windows and multiprocessing mode MPI , and I want to replace my 4 gigabytes ddr3 ram with 8 gigabytes ddr2 ram.
can any one guide me how much using 64 bit windows and using multiprocessing mode MPI in 64-bit windows and replacing 4 gigabytes ddr3 ram with 8 gigabytes ddr2 ram can decrease my computation time?
