Wear and fatigue in rubber

Do any of you have experience of predicting life-time of rubber. The material i'm interested is a epdm-rubber, and the product is used to prevent wear in the area between two other details.

I would like to find a way to estimate life-time. It feels like there are quite a few effects to take into consideration, both fatigue in the material and wear. Is it possible to get a reasonable prediction? Do any of you have an idea of how to do it?

There are various models that have developed for predicting the fatigue behavior of elastomers, and there are other models that have been used to predict the wear behavior. There are actually a lot of recent publications in this area.

Since the wear and the fatigue models are so different you might want treat each failure mode separately.
