Hy everybody.

In attach I have 3 curves of a experimental test, traction. The material is a polyamide PA 6. I´d like to know, how can I get the Yield point and the Young´s Modulus.

Thanks in advanced.

You can use the same approach as for metals. For example, the Young's modulus is the intial slope, and the you yield point can be approximated by a 0.2% offset strain (or some other definition that you like)

Thanks Jorgen,

I read in a book that the beginning of the yield stress is given to 0.5% strain, you know something about it?

Are you saying that the yield stress occurs at an applied strain of 0.5%?

The yield strain value is different for different polymers. A value of 0.5% is relatively common for many thermoplastics, but I don't know if it is accurate for your specific PA.
