Hello everyone,

I'm working with Ansys v.11. My aim is to compare experimental result of measured change of diameter of a silicone pipe carrying out pulsating flow water inside with simulation. So, from experiment I have changes of diameter of silicone pipe. After performing simulation Amsys.mntr file is created automatically. In this file I see the column "variab monitor MxDx". Does it mean the maximum displacement? Can I use these data from Ansys.mntr file to compare simulating diameter and diameter from experiment?

Thanks in advance to everybody who will able to answer me :-)

Do you use CFD ? I think you can obtain your simulations directly. You do not have to read it from this file.

Oh, yes I use CFX and Ansys simultaneously, because I perform 2 way -Fluid Structure interaction calculations. As far as I know Ansys based on the information from CFX solver calculate all stresses and deformation for structural part(in my case - changes of the diameter of the silicone pipe). So,my question is: can I use Ansys.mntr file to read information about maximum displacement from there?
Thank you
