Dear Dr. Jorgen Bergstrom,

Iīm using a POM material in a simulation, but I donīt know how can I model it by the best way. I usually use a LE model in this cases, with data adquired in librarys like matweb.com (engineering yield stress, engineering ultimate stress, youngīs modulus, poissonīs ratio, etc) obtained in tension tests. In this cases, a use a correction factor of 0,65 in this values, but I believe this isnīt the best thing to do.
I wanna know what is the best model that I should use, and if I use the LE model, how can I use the test data.

Regards,

LE is never the best (that is most accurate) model to use. It should be an easy model to use, though, since all you need is the elastic modulus.

If you need to simulate strains larger than approx 1% then you might be better served with a more sofisticated model.
