View Full Version : Text book on Continuum Mechanics?
I recently found the book Nonlinear Solid Mehanics, by Gerhard Holzapfel (published by John Wiley & Sons, ltd). If you are looking for a good textbook and introduction to continuum mechanics you should check this book out. :D

Non Linear Solid Mechanics - Holzapfel is a really good textbook for engineering applications.
From a mathematical point of view, I prefear "An Introduction to Rational Elasticity", by C.C. Wang and Truesdell.
A really good book for finite elements analysis in the framework of non-linar mechanics is "Non Linear finite elements for Solids and Structures", by Belytschko.
Sincerly, Emanuele

I read The Non-Linear Field Theories of Mechanics of C. Truesdell & W. Noll
prior to sleep.
