I am a happy owner of a MacBook Pro laptop computer. One of the few limitations of this computer is that there is no version of ABAQUS for Apple computers :(
Fortunately, I am happy to announce that you can run ABAQUS quite well using the Parallels Virtualization software. As is shown in the following screen shots...

ABAQUS runs both on a Windows virtual machine and a Linux virtual machine.
Since the MacBook Pro computer is running an Intel CPU there is no emulation needed and the simulations run at basically native CPU speed.
Also, I am pleased to announce that the current version of ABAQUS (v6.6) works well on Ubuntu 7.04.
